about
Cory Hotline’s first single “Work It Out” is a catchy funk-pop song about the intensity of love. It’s about the highs and lows that come with finding someone who drives you crazy in every possible way. It’s that kind of love that has you yelling at each other in the street, then hitting the sheets. “Work It Out” also highlights that no one is perfect, and while we have our differences, we should ultimately strive to find common ground. The song was self-recorded and produced by Cory Hotline in Toronto and is accompanied by an electrifying music video – visit coryhotline.com!
lyrics
Something familiar in the way you look at me but I can't say
What it is, I don't know, but I look at you and I lose control
You move a little bit like me, that's something that I've never seen before
So shake a leg and get it on, you know the words now sing along
Whoa whoa whoa
And I, I've been told I'm a lot to handle
Oh and if I, I have the right idea about you, then you're a lot to handle too
I got my work cut out for me
You got your work cut out for you
I think that we can work it out if we work together baby
I got my work cut out for me
You got your work cut out for you
But I won't cut it out until we both agree to work it through
You talk a lot but that's ok, I don't mind I'm the same way
I yell and scream and you do too, who cares what normal people do
We stay up late and dance 'til dawn, put all the funky records on
We burn the candle at both ends, we make mistakes and we make amends
Oh and you, you try to tell me it's not worth it
Ah but you, you stay the night when you could leave, and still
I got my work cut out for me
You got your work cut out for you
I think that we can work it out if we work together baby
I got my work cut out for me
You got your work cut out for you
But I won't cut it out until we both agree to work it through
We're just two sides of one coin
I don't know where I am going but I wanna take you with me
I think I got to know you fine
It only took an evening's time for you to break a piece off
And I broke a piece off for you
I got my work cut out for me
You got your work cut out for you
I think that we can work it out if we work together baby
I got my work cut out for me
You got your work cut out for you
But I won't cut it out until we both agree to work it through
